The service
ConformerLab plans molecular dynamics simulations from a question in plain language, checks and prices each plan before you approve it, runs approved plans, and returns analyses, trajectories, interaction maps, reports and the files to rerun the work yourself. Plans are drafted by the AI planner, a model from a third-party provider, or by ConformerLab's own rules; every plan is checked by our validator before it is priced.
Your account
You must be at least 18 and able to make a binding agreement. Give a true name and an email address you control; spending credits waits until you confirm it.
An account is for one person. Keep your password and API keys secret: whatever is done with them is done by you, including what an API key spends.
Tell us at once at info@conformerlab.com if you think someone else has used your account.
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other people at risk, or does not pay what it owes. We tell you why, by email, unless the law or the risk stops us.
Credits and payment
Everything is priced in credits, bought in advance. The prices are on the pricing section of the front page and on the app's billing page: packs, and any amount paid as you go. Prices are in US dollars; sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record for every purchase of credits. You buy the credits from Lemon Squeezy: it takes the payment, charges and pays any sales tax or VAT, and sends the receipt, and its buyer terms apply to the purchase alongside these terms. ConformerLab provides the service the credits are spent on. Your card details go to Lemon Squeezy and never reach us.
When you approve a run, its quote is held from your credits. When it ends you are charged for the compute time it took and the other lines of the quote, never more than the quote, and the rest is released. A run that fails because of something on our side is not charged.
Credits have no cash value, are not money and are not a deposit. They cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged, except as the refund policy says. Credits do not expire while your account is open.
A new account can buy a limited amount in its first week. We may change prices; a change applies to purchases after it, never to credits you already hold.
If a payment is reversed or charged back, we may take back the credits it bought. A balance below zero must be paid back before anything new can be approved.
Refunds
The refund policy is part of these terms. In short: runs that fail on our side are refunded in credits automatically, and credits you paid for and have not used can be refunded within 30 days of buying them, through Lemon Squeezy, to the card or account you paid with.
Your data and results
What you bring stays yours: your questions, the structures and molecules you upload, and the plans, trajectories, analyses and reports made for you. We claim no rights in it beyond what running the service needs.
You let us store, copy and process it, and send it to the providers that run the service for us, only to do what you ask and to keep the service working and secure. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train models.
Upload only what you have the right to use. You are responsible for what you upload and ask for.
How long each kind of data is kept, who processes it and how to have it exported or deleted are in the privacy policy. You can download your data and delete your account on the account page at any time.
Research use only
ConformerLab's results are computational predictions for research. They depend on force fields, sampling and assumptions that have limits, and they can be wrong. They are not medical, clinical, diagnostic or safety advice, and must not be the only basis for a decision about a person's health, a clinical trial or a product's safety. Check results that matter by experiment or with an expert.
Acceptable use
Do not use ConformerLab, or let anyone use it through your account:
for work meant to develop, produce or improve biological, chemical, nuclear or radiological weapons, or to make a pathogen or toxin more harmful or easier to spread;
to break the law, or to infringe anyone's rights, including in data you upload;
to probe, overload or get around the service's security, limits or billing, to reach other accounts' data, or to run anything but the simulations we offer (no mining, no general-purpose computing);
through accounts made automatically or in bulk, or to resell access without our written agreement.
The AI planner, which drafts plans, may decline a request under the safety rules of the company that makes it; when it does, the app says so.
Export control and sanctions
You may not use ConformerLab if you are in a country or region under comprehensive United States sanctions, or are named on, or owned by someone named on, a United States sanctions or denied-party list. You must follow the export-control laws that apply to the data you upload and the results you take away.
Availability and changes
We work to keep ConformerLab running, but do not promise it will always be available or that a run will start at a given time: capacity is not always available, and the providers we rely on have their own outages.
We may change, add or remove features. If we remove something you rely on, or close ConformerLab, we tell you first, and refund the credits you paid for and have not used.
Warranties and liability
Apart from what these terms say, ConformerLab is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind, including that results are accurate or fit for a particular purpose, as far as the law allows.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars.
You will cover our reasonable costs of a claim brought by someone else because of your data, your use of the service against these terms, or your breaking the law.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer that cannot be given up.
Ending
You can stop at any time and delete your account on the account page; credits left in it are lost, so ask for a refund of unused credits you paid for first. We may end an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, with notice when we can give it. What these terms say about payment owed, your data, liability and disputes still applies after an account ends.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The current version is always here with its date. When a change matters, we tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it applies; using ConformerLab after that means you accept it. If you do not, stop using the service and ask for a refund of unused credits you paid for.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before any formal claim, write to us and give us 30 days to put it right. Disputes that cannot be settled that way go to the state or federal courts in Texas, unless the law where you live as a consumer gives you the right to bring them there.
